Registration
A registration form can be found on on the website menu, or may be obtained by contacting the ICS office.  Advance registration is encouraged so that the class syllabus can be mailed to the student prior to the class.  Students taking the course for credit will be expected to come to class prepared to participate in the class discussion, and to submit a written assignment.  Students auditing the class may find it helpful to have read the recommended reading assignments.
Tuition and Fees
Students taking courses for credit: $45.00 per Saturday
Students auditing courses: $35.00 per Saturday
Students taking special courses: $35.00 per Saturday
Lunch
Lunch can be purchased for an additional fee of $7.00, or the student may bring his/her own lunch.

Location
Most courses described in this catalog will be held at All Saints Church, 338 E. Lyman Avenue, Winter Park, FL. Click here for an interactive map to All Saints.

ICS will gladly bring any course offered in this catalog to any deanery or parish!  We will do publicity and registration.  All we need is a location and at least 8-10 students.

Schedule
The class day begins with Holy Eucharist at 8:30 a.m., and concludes by 4:00 p.m.  There are scheduled breaks during the morning and afternoon, during which coffee is available, and there is a one-hour lunch break.  Most courses are one-day courses, although four are two-day classes and will be offered on consecutive Saturdays.
Books
Required textbooks will be found on each course syllabus, mailed to the student upon registration for the given class.  Each student is responsible for obtaining the books required for courses; often, these books can be borrowed from another student or from a local or parish library.  The Canterbury Book Shoppe, Oviedo, FL at (407) 365-5571 is prepared to supply books and other  resources.
The Yergey Memorial Library
Students are encouraged to make use of the Yergey Memorial Library, located at the Cathedral, for study and research. The library offers an unusual opportunity for students to further their knowledge and to avail themselves of the resources available.
Student Records
The Institute keeps a record on each student who attends a course for credit. Student's records are confidential. The file contains applications, correspondence, and an up-to-date transcript.
Grades
Formal grading of courses is on a Pass/Fail basis. Students who intend to take courses for credit and desire to receive a grade will be expected to demonstrate preparation prior to the class, participation in the class discussion, and the satisfactory completion of an assignment or project. In order for a student to receive credit, required assignments or projects are expected to be in the instructor's hands within 30 days following the class.
Of special note:
The ICS Board of Directors strongly advises students in an on-going program to seek regular counsel with a spiritual director. If you have a question about this, please see a faculty member or the dean.
Institute Administrator
The Institute Administrator is available to answer questions concerning the course syllabi, changes in schedules, required books grades or status of accounts. The administrator may be reached through the ICS Dean, (407) 423-3567 x303 or (800) 299-3567 x303. She is also available on Institute Saturdays.
Please Note
Those persons interested in the following opportunities for education and ministry are encouraged to inform their rector or priest-in-charge of their interest in these programs.
Considering a call to the Vocational Diaconate:
The student considering a call to the Vocational Diaconate is advised to take all of the scriptural and religious courses, in sequence, for credit. Discernment about this call takes place on parish and diocesan levels, separate from studies taken at ICS. The discernment process may take place while the student is attending ICS, School of Continuing Education.
Considering a call as a Lay Preacher or Lay Catechist:
Lay preacher and lay catechist preparation requires formal application to the Bishop and involves a course of study that meets canonical requirements. Each course takes two years and includes the full scriptural, most of the religion, and ministry-specific courses.
Interested pastoral care:
This is such an important ministry.  Consider attending the courses and workshops designed with you and your parish in mind.  Students may attend all of the workshops or choose those that interest them.  Certificates of attendance will be provided.
Interested in parish ministry leadership:
Four exciting new workshops will provide the opportunity to gain leadership skills! The responsibilities and challenges of vestry membership will be explored at an overnight retreat co-sponsored by the ICS and Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center.
Interested in Bible study:
Whether you are studying Scripture on your own, leading a small Bible study group, the Scripture courses are designed just for you!  These courses provide the opportunity to learn from gifted instructors and gain greater depth and understanding of Scripture.
